We’re delighted to share that we received a Green (Excellent) rating in our recent Citizens Advice audit, which took place in May.

Our assessor spent a full day thoroughly reviewing all aspects of our work—examining documents, asking detailed questions, and assessing the way we operate. Prior to the visit, they had full access to our records, allowing them to evaluate how our charity is governed and managed.

The audit covered key areas including; Governance, Finance, People Management, Operations, Business Planning, Risk Management, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

As part of this rigorous process, we also successfully renewed our Advice Quality Standard (AQS) accreditation, with additional recognition for the quality of our Debt and Welfare Rights casework.

We are proud to be accredited to two external quality frameworks:

  • The Advice Quality Standard (AQS), aligned with AQS Version 4
  • The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) Debt Advice Quality Framework

Our work is also mapped to the Charity Commission Governance Code for Smaller Charities, helping to ensure we maintain high standards across all areas of delivery.

This excellent result mirrors our consistent Green ratings for the Quality of Advice we deliver, as well as our Green score in the most recent staff and volunteer survey—a testament to the strength of our service and the wellbeing of our people.

We’re incredibly proud of our whole team, whose hard work and commitment made this outstanding result possible.
